Customer Comfort Tips For All Types of Equipment

Make sure that the supply and return vents are open.
Air filters should be changed at least once a month.
Save energy by installing a programmable thermostat to automatically adjust the temperature while no one is home.

Experiencing AC or Heating problems?

Check that the air filter is not dirty and replace if necessary.
Check the return-air or air supply air-grill for blockage.
Make sure air flow is not obstructed by furniture, boxes etc.
Check to see if the thermostat is set properly. Note that some thermostats have a 5 minute time delay.
Check Batteries in thermostat, replace if necessary.
Check the breaker to see if the indoor unit power supply is “ON”.
Check the breaker to see if the outdoor unit power is “ON”.
If breaker trips automatically more than once, leave in off position and call COOL TOUCH immediately
Make sure there is nothing on the top of the unit and that the outdoor unit is free of surrounding debris to allow maximum air flow.

Natural Gas Smell in Your Home - (click to open / close)

	1.	Do not try to light any appliance or relight the pilot light.
	2.	Do not touch any electrical switch or plug anything into any electrical outlets.
	3.	Immediately call your local gas company.

No Heat in Your Home - (click to open / close)

	1.	Make sure the power switch to your furnace is in the “on” position.
	2.	Make sure your thermostat is set to the heat cycle.
	3.	For gas heat, check your pilot light to see if it is lit. If the pilot light is out, please call the number listed above.
	4.	Check that the air filter is not dirty or clogged. Replace if necessary.
	5.	Check the circuit breaker box for a blown fuse.

No Cooling in Your Home - (click to open / close)

	1.	Make sure the power switch to your cooling unit is in the “on” position.
	2.	Make sure that your thermostat is set to the cooling cycle.
	3.	Check that the air filter is not dirty or clogged. Replace if necessary.
	4.	Check for a blown fuse in your circuit breaker.
